About Morley College London

It's a genuinely exciting time to join our North Kensington Centre for Skills.

We have a newly-refurbished Centre providing state-of-the-art classrooms, workshops and studios for our students on a wide variety of provision that ranges from courses for 16-19 year olds to adult qualifications to short courses in creative areas like jewellery, glass and ceramics. Students and staff also benefit from an excellent performance space, the Morley Heart Gardens, Morley Gallery, Morley Radio studios, and other amazing spaces for learning collaboratively.

At the heart of the North Kensington community, we partner with the Grenfell Community, Portobello Business Centre, the National Theatre, the National Trust, the Natural History Museum and others to ensure we provide collaborative, relevant and useful courses that meet the needs of those around us.

About the Role

This role focuses on working with and supporting the educational achievement of young people aged predominantly 16 – 18 years and from a variety of backgrounds.

The successful candidate will understand the needs and issues of young people and be empathetic to the challenges they face, working with them to improve their behaviour, skills, confidence and post college opportunity.By positively working alongside our students, you will advocate for young people within our curriculum leadership teams, professional and student services, effectively communicating a broader context within which our young people study and live.

We would be excited to hear from candidates who have front facing experience of working with young people with challenges in their lives, in a variety of contexts. For the successful candidate, this role gives you the chance to utilise those honed social skills within a supportive education environment, where you would see the life changing effects of your work, first hand.
