My Green Pledge

Students during Green Pledge Day

On April 24, 2024, interactive workshops were held focusing on current environmental issues. Students engaged in discussions about sustainability, energy and water conservation, and reducing their carbon footprint. They were informed about living sustainably and strategies to save energy and water consumption. A highlight of the workshop was the ‘Impact Cards’ which illustrated human impacts such as deforestation, pollution, and climate change, with facts provided on the reverse side. Students reflected on these issues individually and then discussed them in small groups, emphasising the importance of environmental conservation.

Following these discussions, students made personal pledges to take action, choosing from a provided list or creating their own. They wrote their pledges and displayed them on a whiteboard as a commitment to environmental responsibility. Additionally, students expressed their creativity by designing and colouring their own tote bags, integrating sustainability with personal expression.
