Morley Radio Officially Launches

We’re delighted to announce the official launch of Morley Radio, our own community radio station that will benefit staff, students, and the local community.

Morley Radio runs from the new radio studios that are adjacent to our new foyer area, and which are also fully visible at street level on Westminster Bridge Road. The new radio station is central to the College’s vision of inspiring ambitions and creating outstanding learning opportunities, and provides a forum for both students and staff to tell their stories and learn new skills, as well as a platform for listeners to tell us about their lives, businesses, projects and the things that are important to them. The station was officially launched at a special event on 18 June, and it currently operates a schedule of programmes that runs from 7am every day, though listeners can tune in at any time to listen to our music playlists.

The studio suite is an industry-standard facility, constructed by award-winning studio designers and equipped with the latest radio consoles, microphones and monitors, providing students and staff with an experience of the professional world of radio, broadcasting and podcasting. It’s also interconnected with our music recording studio and concert performance facilities, enabling us to broadcast live concerts, conferences, and other large-scale events.

As a community radio station, the studios are available for bookings and we welcome suggestions and feedback from Morley staff, students and listeners.
