Lunchtime Concert: Chamber music Recital – Mostly Women

MOSTLY WOMEN

The Advanced Chamber Music Class directed by Kate Ryder present another concert in a series featuring (mostly) women composers from across the generations.

Includes cello sonatas by Mel Bonis and Dame Ethel Smyth, Clara Schumann’s intensely romantic piano trio, works by early British modernists Elizabeth Lutyens and Priaulx Rainier, and music by film composer Nino Rota and American ‘Harlem Renaissance’ composer and conductor,  William Grant Still.
