Craft Week: ‘CLAYMATION’

Running as part of London Craft Week, 4-10 October 2021. Celebrating outstanding British and international creativity, the festival brings together over 250 established and emerging makers, designers, brands and galleries from around the world.

‘CLAYMATION’– The Craft of Stop-Motion Film Making

This fun workshop introduces you to the use of modelling clay, hand-drawing, computers, DSLR cameras and lighting to create stop-motion animated sequences that will delight and impress!

Practice the principles of planning and creating movement and give your models personality and character. Use lighting to enhance mood and practice simple camera techniques to capture movements, then make a short stop-motion sequence that will bring your models of animals and characters to life!

This is a most magical form of animation, and far from dead, it is increasingly popular! By the end of the course, you will have learned the skills to practice making your very own movies at home.
