Starts: 6 Nov 2024
This 6 week course combines printmaking with working from a naked life model. The tutor will oversee life sessions in classes 1 and 4 when you’ll make plates and other printing devices. Then print, develop, experiment and discover less conventional ways of working in classes 2,3,5 and 6. This is an exciting opportunity to make interesting figurative prints using a range of techniques, working directly from a model sitting for a range of pose timings. Discover the joys of honing inking and wiping skills, experimenting, adapting and tweaking printmaking processes like drypoint, relief, monotype and collagraph to make interesting artwork from a model. Classes have a reduced student intake and cost a little more to account for our studio space and model fees. This course is suitable for all levels of experience and expertise in printmaking and artistic creation. Beginners, intermediate and advanced students work and learn together in a friendly, vibrant, well equipped studio environment. The tutor aims to help everyone gain deep understanding, confidence and an exciting outlet for their creative vision.
