Join us for this single-session lecture-based session to learn about the history and cultural origins of vernacular or authentic jazz dance forms.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

have gained an introductory insight into the origins of such dance styles as the Charleston, the Black Bottom and the Shim Sham
have learned about the interrelationship between jazz dance and music
have found out about the practical vernacular jazz dance study available at Morley College Waterloo
