Learn to make the most of the creative potential of the studio to develop fixed media sound art and experimental music. Through this series of workshops, you will build skills in sound editing, processing and mixing, within the digital audio workstation (DAW) to enable you to develop new and innovative work in your own style.
Practical workshops and hands-on experience. Class discussions of listening assignments. Taking notes during lectures and audio-visual presentations. Individual projects.
Completion of Sound Art 1 or 2 would be beneficial although is not required if you have some prior knowledge of the topic and/or some experience using a digital audio workstation. Prior knowledge of Apple computers would be an advantage, but support during class can be given.
