What you will learn

If you have been playing the recorder for at least two years and have some sight reading skills join the Recorders Orchestra and learn to play intermediate tunes with others in an ensemble setting. For more experienced players, this one-day course will provide the opportunity to play different sizes of recorder in an ensemble setting.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • demonstrate better sight-reading, listening, intonation and timing skills.
  • hold your own part in an ensemble setting

    We will play inspiring Italian and German ensemble music from the renaissance and baroque time.

    Entry requirements

    You must be able to read music and have good time-keeping skills. For experienced players, this one-day course will provide the opportunity to play different sizes of recorder.

    What you need to know before you enrol

    Excellent attendance and punctuality is required from all students. This course requires study/completion of activities outside of class time
