Enhance your podcast production skills and expand your portfolio with new content and techniques. In the first half of the course, you will focus on getting your podcast ready for release, understanding aggregators, developing a unique identity, and making your content stand out. The second half covers scripting and producing jingles and radio sweeps for Morley Radio, followed by an introduction to video podcasts.
There will be lectures with recorded illustrations, demonstrations, practical work, handouts and discussions.
Completion of Podcast Production 2, or similar course or evidence of equivalent experience. Familiarity with a Digital Audio Workstation or DAW (e.g. Logic, Audacity, ProTools, or similar) is desirable but not essential.
There will be a certain amount of work outside the class. Due to the nature of the content of the course you might be exposed to high volume levels. We strongly encourage everyone to bring a pair of ear plugs to every lesson.
Pen and paper to take notes A USB memory stick to save your work Handouts and materials given by the tutor A portable recorder is useful but not essential Access to a computer outside class
