This course introduces students to the three areas of Functional Skills English: reading, writing and speaking and listening. It is a two-week induction so students learn about the college's digital services and complete a short assessment online.
Classes are led by a tutor but involve a range of independent, paired and group activities based around practical English language tasks.
This course is suitable for L1 students progressing to L2, ESOL L2 students and students progressing from Entry 3 Functional Skills English to Level 1. Students will be admitted to the course after an interview and a reading and writing assessment.
Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential
