Beginners, intermediate and advanced students work alongside each other in this print workshop class. Beginners will explore multi block and jigsaw relief printing techniques. Intermediate and advanced students will extend their printmaking knowledge through developing personal projects. All levels work alongside each other, with plenty of opportunity to share ideas and knowledge. Tutor Rob White has extensive knowledge as an editioning printer, specialising in etching and relief print. Join this course if you would like a thorough grounding in relief printmaking techniques, and the space and time to pursue your personal projects with close support from the tutor.
Teaching is both in groups and on an individual, one-to-one basis, with technical and critical advice depending on your needs. The tutor will give demonstrations, presentations and lead group discussions. All students record and assess progress via a Learning Statement.
No previous experience of printmaking is necessary, but an interest in, or experience of drawing or design is useful. Or you may have some previous experience and wish to renew and develop your knowledge of one or more printmaking techniques.
