What you will learn

This is French at level 3/B1 that focus on communication skills and improving pronunciation both when speaking and listening to different speed of spoken French. We will cover topics useful for a short stay in France or a French speaking country and listen to videos at different speed and accent to use in conversation

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Revise basic pronunciation including when to read last consonants, difference between <u>, <e>, <eu> etc., French nasal sounds etc.
  • Get the gist and understand a faster pace of French when people talk, including announcements etc.
  • Consolidate speaking and listening skills to obtain goods and services when travelling or working abroad
  • Practice intonation, and respond to the French: Quoi?
  • Gain confidence, speed, accuracy and patience, and practice charming ways to start a conversation

Read texts paying attention to pronunciation, listen to videos, work in pairs, group and as a class. Practice speaking and listening. Revise topics useful for a short stay
