These First Steps Into Printmaking (Wednesday-Evening) Courses at Morley College London will introduce you to a range of intaglio printmaking techniques and processes starting from monotype leading into drypoint, etching and aquatint step by step.
You will learn to work in the light and well-equipped studio with specialist facilities and develop ideas and imagery into a portfolio of creative prints. Each printmaking technique is taught by demonstration and one-to-one feedback encouraging each student’s personal strengths and interests. To ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor.
These classes are aimed at beginners, those who wish to re-fresh their printmaking skills and those who have a basic arts experience in any other visual arts discipline.
The Printmaking Studio is at the Morley London Chelsea Centre, Hortensia Road SW10 0QS , just off the Kings Road and Fulham Road, in the Carlyle building, on the ground floor.
You need to bring: a sketchbook and some art equipment such as pencils, eraser, Stanley knife, washing up gloves and apron. There is a studio fee payable each term to the tutor which covers basic materials, except paper and plates which you pay extra for as you use them. All materials are available to buy in the studio.
