What you will learn

Welcome to our brand new Fashion Pro series of evening courses designed to cater to the needs of the industry professional seeking to expand their skillset in a fun and inspiring setting. The first in the series focusses on production. Do you have a small brand? Do you sell on Tik Tok? Are you struggling to make the shift from doing everything by yourself or are you tired of getting items back from the factory that aren’t what you asked for? Then this is the class for you. We explore taking main line designs and turning them into simpler and more easily produced garments. We will explore lay plans and how these can best be utilised to minimise your fabric usage. We look at what kind of a spread would work best for your style and how many and in what sizes you should look at producing these. Learn to make production packs and spec sheets and how to draft flats. A must for the budding fashion entrepreneur to go from amateur to pro!

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Create a diffusion line from your main line
  • Put together a tech pack for production
  • Create a layplan and cutters must
  • Draft flats through various approaches
