Develop your basic hand and foot techniques for playing contemporary music styles like pop, rock, jazz and Latin. Suitable for players with a term's experience. Please bring your own drumsticks.

Class format and activities
Follow verbal instructions and practical demonstrations, work and practice as part of the group and individually and Perform in front of the class. Your input and participation in discussions and Q&A sessions is very important

Term 2 of this course is not suitable for complete beginners; students joining in the spring term are advised to contact the Music Department Office before enrolling. Online enrollment on term 2 of this course, starting in January, is only available to those enrolled in the previous term.If you are a current student you will have received an email alerting you to this. What you need to know before you enrol
A regular practice routine is essential to keep up with the course and get the most out of it. Due to the nature of the instruments/content of the course you might be exposed to high volume levels. We strongly encourage everyone to bring a pair of ear plugs to every lesson.
