…
If you're new to using digital devices or the internet, this course is the perfect starting point. Designed for beginners, it will help you build confidence and develop the essential skills you need to use technology in everyday life. Whether you want to stay connected with family and friends, access online services, or prepare for further learning, this course will support you every step of the way.
You will learn in a friendly and supportive classroom environment with hands-on activities, group discussions, and one-to-one guidance. Classes will focus on practical skills, making sure you have time to practise and apply what you learn. You will also have access to online learning resources to reinforce your skills at home. Your tutor will assess your progress throughout the course, offering support and feedback to help you improve. By the end of the course, you’ll feel more confident using technology and be ready to take the next step in your learning journey.
This course is for beginners, so no previous digital skills are required. However, you should be working towards Entry Level 3 in English literacy to get the most out of the learning materials and activities.
Before starting, you will have an interview and an initial skills check to ensure this course is right for you. This will help us understand your current skills and how we can best support you. Complete your skills assessment here: https://forms.office.com/e/LasjR6BfZ9
Regular attendance is important to keep up with the learning. Minimum attendance expected 95%. You'll also be encouraged to practise your new skills outside of class. If you have access to a computer or tablet at home, that’s great, but it’s not essential.
