From basic machine functions to pattern design and garment construction, this course is suitable for individuals with no prior experience in machine knitting.

  • Mastery of hand tooling techniques and utilising punch cards for varied knitting patterns.
  • Practice basic techniques, such as casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off using a knitting machine.
  • Understanding of basic garment construction principles and the application of machine knitting in creating wearable items.
  • Understand how to read and interpret machine knitting patterns.
  • Learn methods for shaping knitted pieces, such as adding darts and creating raglan or set-in sleeves.
