What you will learn

Start stitching with all the basic techniques, or develop your existing sewing skills, exploring new areas with the absorbing craft of handstitch and embroidery. Choose to make a series of samples, develop stitched effects for a small decorative piece, explore stuffed ‘traputo’ technique, or make beautiful eco repairs with embroidery embellishments on jumpers, socks and other clothing.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

Learn the basic stitch techniques and explore variations of plain sewing, darning and embroidery stitches.
Discover useful tips and techniques with needle and thread know-how
Produce individual outcomes at your own pace, with inspiring examples in a creative studio.
