Students are given handouts for each lesson., The tutor explains and demonstrates examples so that students can copy or develop ideas., The tutor accompanies on bass guitar or piano so that students develop a sense of performance. , Theory of music, phrasing, harmony, rhythm and technique is applied in a practical way., Students are given a pre-recorded CD for practice at home.
No previous experience of the bass guitar is necessary., Students should own a bass guitar., Students will be working with electronic amplifiers provided by the college, and will be instructed how to work this equipment safely to avoid health risks.Online enrolment on term 3 of this course is only available to those enrolled in the previous term. Due to the nature of the instruments/content of the course you might be exposed to high volume levels. We strongly encourage everyone to bring a pair of ear plugs to every lesson.
