Class format and activities

Practical projects Hand-outs Short talks Visual aids/demonstrations Individual tuition Group review/discussion. This is a practical class and you will spend most of your class time drawing and / or painting at home. The tutor will send you project briefs by email each week with options for 1:1 tutorial support. The class will use Teams or Zoom for group discussions, guidance on set activities, explanations and presentations. Although there are limitations when working from home, there is an opportunity here to harness and investigate ideas away from the college studio. If you are limited for space, this term's output could form the basis for paintings and drawings to be further developed on return to the Morley studio. Returning students are welcome, and projects will be agreed in discussion with the tutor.

Entry requirements

The course is suitable for complete beginners to painting and those with experience in observational work. Experienced students are also welcome and will be able to refresh their skills or explore new techniques and materials.
