This course prepares you for the year ahead by helping you sharpen your writing skills. Refresh your knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling and expand your reading skills.
You will explore English grammar, including word types (nouns, verbs, adjectives etc) and how to build different sentence types (simple, compound and complex). Each class will help you use punctuation effectively and develop spelling skills. You will explore strategies to help you develop regular reading habits.
We will assess you at interview and ask you to produce a short piece of writing and display any prior qualifications. We will then conduct further assessments after enrolment
Please make sure that bring proof of address, ID and any previous qualifications
You will need to bring a pen and paper to class and bring a file to keep your materials in
