What you will learn

Learn to play tunes, improvise on various styles of music, advanced harmonica techniques, how to play through an amplifier, and play different genres of music. Suitable for intermediate players. Please bring your own ten-hole diatonic harmonicas in C major and A major.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Use the tongue to improve your sound
  • Play advanced bending terchniques
  • Amplification: How to play through a microphone and amplifier/P.A
  • Know how to play different genres of music on the harmonica
  • Be able to play in multiple keys on one harmonica

Class format and activities

Studnets will learn from tutor demonstration and explanation. learning will be spoorted by other online resources such as "Moddle". Studenst will learn techniques and repertoire suitable to the level.

Entry requirements

The course is for intermediate players who are proficient at bending notes.

Excellent attendance and punctuality is required from all students. This course requires study/completion of activities outside of class time.

Four ten hole diatonic harmonicas; in the keys of A,B flat, C and D, pen/pencil, paper.
