What you will learn

This exciting workshop will take you back to the beginning of camera-less photography where you will explore photographic and solar printing processes such as Cyanotypes and Photograms. Perfect for beginners and photography enthusiasts alike, this workshop will offer a hands-on exploration of those processes that will liberate you from the constraints of traditional photography. You will be experimenting with compositions using leaves, flowers and fruits, as well as man-made objects. During the course, the tutor will provide a step-by-step guidance, which will include coating techniques and processing procedures for the making of creative results. Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explore camera-less photography and its image making potential
  • Produce Cyanotypes on paper and fabric
  • Produce photograms in the b/w darkroom using plant based developers

    What you need to know before you enrol

    The course is suitable for complete beginners, or those who have a basic knowledge of those processes and wish to experiment further

    You will need to bring black and white photographic paper preferably expired. You will also need some white/beige light cotton fabric for the Cyanotypes
