The course focuses on solo guitar, studying arrangements that combine both melody and harmony. Further develop your finger picking skills through playing Delta & Country Blues finger-style songs.

To have ideally completed Acoustic Guitar 4A or have equivalent playing experience at that level. Prior to this course students will have successfully applied barre chords and have a good understanding of the CAGED system and are now in a position where they are looking combine lead and rhythm playing. Students should have previously played Travis picking and are adept at all slur techniques (including bends) Students should be able to read guitar tab and rhythm notation to a good standard.
You will need to be willing and able to do short, regular practice sessions between classes: at least 15-20 minutes, at least 4 times a week. Online enrolment on term 2 of this course, starting in January is only available to those enrolled in the previous term.If you are a current student you will have received an email alerting you to this.
