A gentle, systematic approach to Yoga. It treats classical poses not as ends in themselves, but deconstructs them and provides an opportunity to build awareness, mobility and strength. Helps tackle injuries and postural problems.

Each class will focus on one or two yoga poses- giving a thorough grounding in their fundamental mechanics. The class is guided through verbal instruction. There will be opportunities for feedback and discussion and some partner work if appropriate.
At least one year of Yoga experience is necessary and a commitment to staying within save comfortable boundaries. Let the tutor know if you have particular therapeutic needs.
The class is progressive and student centred. It will be designed round your needs and priorities to improve your practice further.
Please wear suitable exercise clothing: tracksuit trousers or leggings are better than shorts. Also bring a warm garment such as a sweatshirt to wear during warm-ups, discussions, and relaxation. Bring a bottle of water. Whilst we do hold a stock of yoga mats at college we suggest that all students bring along their own mats for hygiene reasons.
