Upskilling for luxury success
Morley’s UAL Level 2 Diploma in Fashion Business and Retail – delivered at the Chelsea Centre for Creative Industries – is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the dynamic world of luxury retail.
“The Walpole report makes the case that the luxury sector is full of opportunity,” said Christine Mhando, Programme Area Manager for Fashion at the Chelsea Centre for Creative Industries.
“This course grew out of conversations with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), who have extensive industry links with luxury retailers in the local area, all of whom are looking for employees with the right skills to progress within the sector. We wanted students to get the right kind of training and the right kind of education to make that happen, and this course is the result.”
The course offers a comprehensive understanding of luxury brands, consumer behaviour, retail management, and the unique challenges faced by the luxury retail sector.
Incorporating assessments and projects that reflect the skills and knowledge expected in the industry, the Diploma is an ideal launchpad for a career in luxury retail.
Areas of study include:
- Demonstrating an understanding of luxury retail.
- Analysing and predicting consumer behaviour.
- Curating and displaying luxury products.
- Optimising retail store operations.
- Driving sales and fostering client relationships.
- Executing effective retail marketing.
- Promoting ethics and sustainability.
