As we bring our 2023 Artists of Morley season to a close, we’re pleased to confirm that over 1,000 individuals attended Private View events during the six-week campaign.
The figure includes 200 who attended the season’s final exhibition Look Both Ways, an expansive showcase of the work of 14 students on the Waterloo Centre’s Foundation Diploma.
Many hundreds more attended Morley exhibitions across our three teaching centres, in the flagship Morley Gallery, and in external venues including Brick Lane’s Dray Walk Gallery and Hat Works in Luton.
Here’s a showreel film featuring works from all our AOM2023 exhibitions:
This week, two important milestones in relation to Morley’s celebrated Permanent Art Collection will be reached:
“This week’s developments are a significant moment for visual arts at Morley,” said Dr. Jack Davy, Morley’s Gallery Manager and Exhibitions Curator. “Bridget Riley’s mural is a jewel in the crown of our wider collection, which – thanks to the digitisation project led by Gallery volunteers – is now even more accessible. It’s a great way to be ending our 2023 Artists of Morley season.”

The Artists of Morley will return in summer 2024.
