This group blends influences ranging from straight-ahead swing to the freer side of jazz. Drawing from interpretations of music from the 50s and 60s, the group combines members who have played together for over 20 years at the cutting edge of the British Jazz scene. The trio were the founding members of Robson’s “Dog Soup”, who developed their sound in the 2000s with their re-imaginings of the music of Miles Davis’ “Lost Quintet”, seeking to bring a degree of the energy created by this significant band.
