New film released to celebrate International Women’s Day
Students and staff at the Chelsea Centre for Creative Industries have contributed to a new ‘stream of consciousness’ film that celebrates the themes of International Women’s Day.
The film will play throughout International Women’s Day at the Chelsea Centre, with further screenings planned between 12.30pm-1.30pm and 4.30pm-5.30pm for every day during Women’s History Month.
The video can be shared using this link: https://youtu.be/eBl5tZo0zFk
The screenings are part of the college’s X of Morley campaign and its March focus on Women’s History Month. Other activities taking place during March include:
- A Penny Lecture by former Morley tutor Jane Joseph to celebrate her exhibition “A Life Drawn”, on display at Morley Gallery throughout March.
- A celebration of influential women in Morley’s history, available online and on display at the Waterloo Centre (the B corridor on the middle floor).
- A series of Morley Radio podcasts that pay tribute to the women memorialised via mosaic art on the exterior of Waterloo Centre’s Emma Cons Hall.
