January 2023 is Waterloo Focus Month

Via the X of Morley campaign, we like to shine a light on a particular area of our work…at the beginning of 2023, the spotlight moves to the Waterloo Centre for Adult Education.

Whether you are a budding hobbyist, an aspiring artist or an avid scientist, Morley’s Waterloo Centre has a wide range of specialist courses available for you to choose from.

There’s a huge variety of provision at Waterloo…take a look at our courses page to start exploring.

Throughout January we’ll be celebrating some of that amazing variety, from singing in a choir to creating your own ceramic tableware to polishing up your maths skills.

• An exhibition about the storied history of Morley at Waterloo, available to browse during opening hours in the B corridor near the Library throughout January.
• Our three January lunchtime concerts, always in the Holst Room at 1pm on a Tuesday:
  • Song recital, 10 January
  • New composers showcase, 24 January
  • Chamber music recital, 31 January
• The Absence of Myth, an exhibition by Morley tutor Günther Herbst at Morley Gallery that through painting and sculpture considers the inextricable relationship between colonialism and modernism. Runs from 12 January until 10 February.
