Penny Lecture: Cameo, a place where influential female and non-binary figures in dance can make meaningful contributions by choreographer Charlotte Edmonds
Cameo is an event series hosted by Choreographer and Dance Artist Charlotte Edmonds featuring interviews with inspiring women, non-binary dance artists, and industry experts. Discussions will uncover signature methods of working with movement and spotlight lived experiences within the industry for us to take note and move with.
“I have had the good fortune to learn from some inspiring figures, and I wanted to host a space so that others can have that same opportunity. This is a forum not just for discussion but for action” – Charlotte Edmonds
Through these conversations, Charlotte will highlight the challenges and obstacles for women in the arts, many of which she has experienced herself, and will discuss the ways in which they can be overcome.
The invited guest for this Cameo conversation is Choreographer, Dancer, and Artistic Director, Yolande Yorke-Edgell. There will be a Q&A following the talk hosted by Morley College’s Head of Dance, Tim Taylor.
