Explore your creativity at Chelsea Open Day
…
We recently held an Open Day for our Higher Education and Advanced Learning courses, and we run a number of other open events throughout the year. If you missed out or have never been to one of our Open Days before, here’s a look at what to expect:
Our Open Days usually take place in our historic Emma Cons hall. When you arrive you should come to our registration desk to let us know that you have arrived, and which subjects you are interested in – we can then direct you to the best members of staff to help you with any queries you have.
Our Programme Managers for each subject will have their own tables around the hall, and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have about any of our courses. If you need to speak to one of our most specialised members of staff, like someone from Essential Skills or Additional Learner Support, let us know at the registration desk and we will arrange for someone to speak to you. Note that some subjects, like Fashion, Digital Art, and Music, are always very popular so be prepared to wait a little while.
Some of our subjects have specialist learning spaces, such as Fashion, Ceramics, Science, and Music Technology. If you want to see any of our facilities for yourself, we will be happy to give you a tour so you can get a feel for the practical training we can offer.
Many of our Open Days also include FREE performances, workshops and taster sessions, so you can try your hand at some of our subjects before you enrol. Our tasters may include an introduction to musical instruments, craft workshops where you can create something unique that you can bring home with you, or fun and practical experiments in our science labs. Check out the info page for each Open Day to see what’s happening on the day!
Our next Open Day will be on Thursday 5 September from 4pm until 7pm, and staff will be able to provide help and advice on all of our courses, from short, unaccredited courses to year-long diplomas and HE courses. Registration is not required but it’s a good idea to let us know what you’re interested in so we can make sure a member of staff will be available. Visit our events page here for more information, or drop us an email on enquiries@morleycollege.ac.uk.
